What is Rivergate Foundation?

Rivergate Foundation is a nonprofit foundation focused on supporting those sent to serve. We exist to remove financial and systemic barriers so that Christian missionaries, pastors, and ministry staff can thrive—both now and into retirement.

Who do you serve?

We support Christian missionaries and church staff—those who’ve dedicated their lives to ministry, often with limited financial support and few long-term safety nets.

What makes Rivergate Foundation different from other foundations?

We focus on both immediate need and long-term sustainability. Our work spans three key areas:

The Scholars Fund – helping missionary and ministry families access higher education
The Jubilee Fund – addressing urgent and verified financial needs
Retirement Preparedness – creating margin and dignity for those who’ve served faithfully over decades

Are donations tax-deductible?

Yes. Rivergate Foundation is in the process of receiving our independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. In the meantime, we are proudly sponsored by Generous Giving International, in partnership with the National Christian Foundation. All gifts made during this period are fully tax-deductible.

How is your work funded?

Rivergate Foundation is funded by a growing community of individual donors, foundations, and strategic partners. The operational backbone of the organization is supported by our strategic partner entity, Rivergate Enterprises, allowing us to steward direct donations with greater impact.

How do you select who receives support?

Each initiative has a defined application and review process. For scholarships and relief funds, candidates are evaluated based on financial need, mission alignment, and available funding. Final decisions are made by a vetted selection committee.

How can I get involved?

How are funds distributed?

Scholarships and grants are distributed directly to schools, service providers, or verified recipients. Our internal team and board partners ensure every dollar is tracked with integrity and purpose.

Why does Rivergate Foundation have an endowment?

The endowment exists to ensure that long-term needs don’t go unmet. By building an endowment, we can provide ongoing scholarships, relief, and retirement support—especially for aging missionaries and church staff. It’s a way to make the mission sustainable across generations.
